Like most bakers, lemon is a staple in my kitchen year-round. It goes in all kinds of cakes and confections, but there’s something wonderful about making a lemon dessert in spring. It feels like a celebration of sunshine and lightness after long winter months. I was inspired to make this cake after tasting Sconza Lemoncello Chocolate Almonds.
